THE OLD SIGN PHILOSOPHER THOUGHT OF THE DAY
LOST.....FREE DIRECTIONS HERE......GOOD DIRECTIONS $5
This is for all the lost travelers who come into the garden center daily asking for directions. After giving them directions, they don't say "Thank You" but usually say, "Are You Sure?"

Do you realize that new homeowners spend an average of $7000 in home improvements in the first year.

THE OLD SIGN PHILOSOPHER THOUGHTS OF THE DAY!
"WEED IT & REAP"
"SILENCE IS GOLDEN BUT SHOUTING IS FUN"

A $400,000 project that will address planting depth issues was annunced by the Morton Arboretum outside of Chicago. The project will study the premature death of landscape trees due to their roots being planted too deeply. The project was announced as part of $1.6 million in federal dollars granted to 14 organizations to research and promote urban forestry.

Editors note: Greenscape Gardens has encouraged planting higher for a decade without any government research money.
