The garden center is really stocking up fast......today we unloaded an overseas ship container of pottery, and two different shipments of trees and shrubs from Oregon. The customers have overwhelmingly approved the winter remodeling changes. The first day of spring is tomorrow and we're ready for the much anticipated warm weather and customers.
MY FIRST TRUCK 66 CHEVY 3/4 TON FLAT BED. AWAITING RESTORATION AT THE FARM.

WOOD DUCK HOUSE AT LONESOME PINE LAKE IN WASHINGTON COUNTY. THE ISLAND BEHIND THE DUCK HOUSE HAS HAD A GEESE NEST FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. THE WOOD DUCK HOUSE WAS BUILT BY GREG MILES AND INSTALLED IN MID FEBRUARY WHEN THE LAKE WAS FROZEN OVER.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT CAUSES THE MOST DESTRUCTION OF TREES AT THE NURSERY? YEP.........BEAVERS. SINCE EARLY NOVEMBER, WE HAVE BEEN RAVISHED BY THE BEAVERS. WE HAVE LOST 12 MATURE DISPLAY TREES PLUS OVER 40 TREES WHICH WERE FOR SALE. DEER WAS THE SECOND CONTENDER FOR THE TITLE BUT THEY ONLY DESTROYED 6 TREES THIS WINTER. TRAPPING SEASON IS ONLY 2 WEEKS LONGER....HOPEFULLY, TRAPPER BOB WILL GET A COUPLE MORE.
GRADY O'GREENSCAPE ON ST. PAT'S DAY AT THE GARDEN CENTER. LOOK CLOSELY AND YOU'LL SEE THE GIGANTIC SNOWFLAKES WHICH WERE FALLING. NORMAL ST. LOUIS WEATHER, 2 DAYS PREVIOUSLY THE TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE 70'S AND SNOW 2 DAYS LATER.
