Franks Nursery declares bankruptcy again, closing all stores. For the second time, Franks has filed for Chapter 11 protection and plans to liquidate by conducting "going out of business" sales at its 169 stores in 14 states.

Franks was the largest lawn and garden specialty chain in the U.S. It emerged from bankruptsy in May 2002.
