LEWIS AND CLARK EXPEDITION 200 YEARS AGO TODAY 10/22/1804

"Sleeping on snow covered ground, Clark awakes in the wee hours with a muscle spasm in his neck, so severe that he can not move. Lewis serving as doctor, wraps a hot rock in flannel to soothe Clark's neck. The pain continues during the day. The boats move 12 miles upstream. A Teton war party passes on land, heading toward Mandan country."
