LEWIS & CLARK EXPEDITION 200 YEARS AGO TODAY 10/25/1804

"Several Mandan hunting parties heading north on land invite the Corps to stop and visit. Originally this land was home to the Mandans but the Arikaras moved in and chased the Mandans out in 1799. Word comes that some Sioux have stolen horses from the Hidatsas. The Assinbiones killed a French trader who once lived with the Mandans.
