LEWIS & CLARK EXPEDITION 200 YEARS AGO TODAY 10/28/1804
Strong winds keeps the chiefs away from the outdoor council that the captains had planned. Instead, Lewis and Clark talk with a chief from Raptare named Black Cat about the chiefs of the neighboring villages, the Mandan Mitutanka and the three Hidatsa villages up the Knife River.
